Who we are

ACMobility is part of the Ayala Group of Companies and the Philippines’ first end-to-end mobility provider.

We are the official distributor of BYD and Kia passenger vehicles in the Philippines as well as the operator of the largest dealer network for Isuzu. ACMobility is also the master franchisor of the Bosch Car Service workshop network, giving drivers access to complete “one-stop-shop” services for mechanical concerns, vehicle diagnostics, and advanced electronic systems related to safety and performance.

Since 2023, the Ayala Group has invested in building a nationwide EV charging network to support the country’s shift to sustainable mobility. Today, ACMobility manages charging hubs primarily in Luzon with growing presence in Visayas and Mindanao. As the network expands, we continue to develop digital platforms that make it easier for individuals and businesses to connect with EV charging infrastructure and service centers across the Philippines.

Our History

Pioneering mobility

ACMobility is the latest chapter in our rich history of shaping mobility in the Philippines. Here's how we've led the way in helping Filipinos move since the 1800s.

1903

ACMobility’s roots trace back to Jacobo Zobel y Zangróniz, who introduced Manila’s first horse-drawn streetcars through the Compañía de los Tranvías de Filipinas. With support from El Banco Español Filipino (now BPI under the Ayala Group), these lines evolved into a steam-powered railway that served as Manila’s main transport system until 1903.

In the 1930s, land in Makati owned by the Zobel de Ayala family became the site of Nielson Airport, the Philippines’ first commercial airport. It serviced the country’s pioneering airlines with flights across Luzon and Visayas until World War II. Though it briefly reopened in 1946, operations later moved to Nichols Airfield (now Villamor Air Base) as commercial aviation expanded.

1990

In 1990, the Ayala Group entered the Philippine automotive industry through a joint venture with Honda Motors, Mitsubishi Corporation, and RCBC. This led to the establishment of Honda Cars Philippines, with its first dealership, Honda Cars Makati, breaking ground in 1991.

Following its success with Honda Cars, the Ayala Group entered a new joint venture in 1995 with Mitsubishi Corporation and RCBC to form Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC). The first Isuzu dealership, Isuzu Alabang, opened in 1996 as the brand’s pioneer outlet in the country.

To support local manufacturing, IPC also established a ₱1-billion transmission plant in Laguna Technopark, inaugurated in 1997 with 200 employees.

2013

In 2013, Volkswagen AG appointed Ayala Automotive Holdings as the official distributor of Volkswagen passenger vehicles in the Philippines. To accelerate the brand’s return, Ayala invested in the first three Volkswagen dealerships, reintroducing one of the world’s most iconic automakers to Filipino drivers.

2016

AC Motors took over Kia distributorship in 2016, driving growth that quickly outpaced the local automotive industry. Kia Asia Pacific recognized the brand for achieving the region’s highest growth rate and for being the top independent distributor in retail sales. In March 2023, Kia Philippines launched its first fully electric vehicle, the EV6, marking a milestone in the shift to sustainable mobility.

AC Motors became the official distributor of BYD, the world’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer. Now under ACMobility, the brand is backed by the Ayala Group’s strong support through the rapid expansion of EV charging stations nationwide and the rollout of digital platforms designed for EV owners.
